Triumph Announces Facility Consolidation as part of Company-wide Transformation

As previously announced in May 2016, Triumph Group is undergoing a transformation to proactively position the company for long-term success and enhance the company’s performance and competitiveness in the marketplace.

Since the appointment of the new CEO, Dan Crowley, Triumph Group has taken a number of actions to implement a new, performance-based operating philosophy, under “One Triumph.” These actions enable the company to better leverage its scale, more efficiently meet customer commitments and improve performance.

As part of this transformation, Triumph Group has made the following announcements:

  • On July 10, 2018 Triumph Group announced it will close its Triumph Airborne Structures dba Triumph Interiors facility in Grand Prairie, Texas on or about December 31, 2018. Work performed at the at the Triumph Interiors Grand Prairie site will be transferred to other Triumph facilities.
  • On August 2, 2017 Triumph Group announced it is expected to cease operation at Triumph Thermal Systems – Maryland, Inc. in Frederick, Maryland on or about December 2018*. Work performed at the Thermal Systems – Maryland location will be transferred to other Triumph facilities.
  • On October 28, 2016 Triumph Group announced it is expected to cease operations at Triumph Structures – East Texas, Inc. in Kilgore, Texas on or about September 2018*. Aerospace and defense work performed at the East Texas location will be transferred to other Triumph Precision Components.  All options are being considered for the remaining business of non-aerospace and defense work at the Kilgore, Texas site.
  • On October 24, 2016 Triumph Group announced it will close its Triumph Structures – Long Island, LLC in Westbury, New York on or about December 2018. On March 28, 2018 Triumph Structures – Long Island, LLC was sold to Aero Structures Long Island, Inc.
  • On September 20, 2016 Triumph Group announced it is consolidating the work being done at its three Triumph Actuation Systems – Connecticut locations (East Lyme, Bloomfield and Bethel) into a single, state-of-the-art, full service Triumph facility in Windsor, Connecticut. The transfer of employees and work to Windsor, and closure of the three facilities will occur in phases, beginning in December 2016 through on or about March 31, 2017.
  • On July 25, 2016 Triumph Group announced it will close its Triumph Interiors, LLC-Oakdale facility in Oakdale, Pennsylvania, on or about March 31, 2017. Work performed at the Oakdale location will be transferred to other Triumph facilities.
  • On July 7, 2016 Triumph Group announced it will close its Triumph Structures-Everett Inc., facility in Everett, Washington, on or about March 31, 2017. Work performed at the Everett location will be transferred to other Triumph facilities.
