David Soper
President
David Soper has been in the aerospace industry since 1994, and has served as President of Triumph Structures – Kansas City since 2003. Prior to being named as President, he served as the Operations Manager, Production Manager, and Program Manager. He is responsible for the profit and loss and all associated functions within the facility.
Mr. Soper holds a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University and is a
9 year veteran of the U.S. Army serving both as enlisted and commissioned in the Artillery Corps.
Dennis Folsom
Quality / Continuous Improvement
Dennis Folsom joined Triumph Structures – Kansas City in 2001, and has been in his current role since 2007. His responsibilities include management of all quality assurance, quality control, statistical process control and continuous improvement activities. Prior to his current role, he was assigned as the Engineering Supervisor for the extrusion center, driving innovation into the process and products. Prior to joining Triumph Group, his experience included machine tool and manufacturing development - with a focus on process stability.
Mr. Folsom holds both Greenbelt and Blackbelt certifications through Villanova University.
Randy Self
Engineering, Purchasing / Supply Chain
Randy Self has been with Triumph Structures – Kansas City since 1998, and has worked in the aerospace industry since 1989. Since 2009, he has been responsible for all aspects of engineering, supply chain, inventory control, warehouse and production control at Triumph Structures – Kansas City. Prior to joining Triumph, Mr. Self was a buyer/planner for Unimark, and a senior buyer/planner for BFG Goodrich Aerospace.
Chris Gabel
Operations
Chris Gabel has been in the manufacturing industry since 1979. He joined Triumph Structures - Kansas City in 1997, and was named to his current role in 2003. His current responsibilities include Production, Maintenance, Information Technologies and special projects. Prior to his current position he was Engineering Manager and a Manufacturing Engineer for the company. Previous employment positions include Machinist, CNC Programmer, Project Manager, Purchasing and Operations Manager.
Travis Barnes
Finance
Travis Barnes joined Triumph Structures – Kansas City in June 2004 as a general accountant. He was named to his current role of Controller in June 2009, with responsibilities including Financial reporting, analysis, budgeting and control of financial operations.
Mr. Barnes has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Missouri State University.
