History : Triumph Structures - Everett
Mr. Roger Berger founded Contour Industries in Everett, Washington in 1973. The company initially machined skins, spars, and stringers for Boeing’s 707 and 727. In 1979 Mr. Berger purchased the Macro Division of Macrodyne; located in Brea, California; and certain assets of Certified Machining from NEA and renamed the company Contour of California Industries (CCI).
For the next two decades, Contour Industries and CCI developed their capabilities while operating as two separate companies. In July of 1996 Mr. Berger sold the assets of Contour Industries and CCI to the Carlyle Group; who combined them into a new company, Contour Aerospace, Inc.
In June 2010, Triumph Group acquired Contour Aerospace, Inc, and the organization now operates as Triumph Structures – Everett and Triumph Structures – Brea. The two facilities continue with modernizations to meet the changing needs of the aerospace industry.
