David Vorsas
President
David Vorsas began his professional aviation career at Castleberry Instruments & Avionics in 1973, as a Quality Control inspector. He progressed through positions in Customer Services to Manager of Rotary Wing Marketing. In 1980, he joined Simmonds Precision, Product Support Group as Director of General Aviation Marketing. In 1985, he re-joined the Castleberry Instruments division of the BF Goodrich Company, becoming Director of Marketing for General Aviation and Director of Avionics Services.
Mr. Vorsas joined the JDC Company in Ft. Lauderdale in 1991. He was hired as Director of Operations, became General Manager, and then President. In 1997 the JDC Company was acquired by Triumph Group; in 2006 the company was renamed Triumph Instruments - Ft. Lauderdale.
Mr. Vorsas has been active in various industry trade associations, including the Aircraft Electronics Association, where he served on the board of directors, and eventually as Chairman from 1994-1996.
Dan D'Amico
Finance
Dan D’Amico has extensive experience working in the aerospace industry. In his current assignment, Mr. D’Amico is responsible for all financial requirements and reporting for Triumph Instruments ¬– Ft. Lauderdale. Prior to joining Triumph in 2008, Mr. D’Amico was the Controller for BE Aerospace in Miami. Earlier in his career, he was the Controller for Lucas Aerospace in Utica, N.Y.
Mr. D’Amico earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Syracuse University.
Dawn Anastos
Purchasing / Supply Chain
Dawn Anastos began working in the aerospace industry in 1987. She has worked for Triumph since 1993 and has taken on increased responsibilities since that time. She is currently responsible for purchasing, inventory control, supply chain and vendor management. In addition, she is the export control administrator and oversees the company’s receiving, billing and shipping departments. Prior to joining Triumph, Ms. Anastos was the office manager/expediter for Aero Systems Aviation in Miami.
Ms. Anastos earned her associates degree in 1981 and has completed numerous professional development activities over the years.
Dave Berry
Engineering
Dave Berry has worked in the aerospace industry since 1979. He started his career with Aero Systems Aviation as a technician and was promoted to shop manager before taking on his current role. In 2007, Mr. Berry became the engineering lead for Triumph Instruments – Ft. Lauderdale and is responsible for the design of procedures, fixtures and supplies for servicing of equipment.
In addition, Mr. Berry holds a First Class Radio Telephone License, a SolidWorks Advanced Certificate and a Private Pilot Certificate. He earned his Diploma from Spartan School of Aeronautics in 1979 specializing in Avionics and Instrumentation.
Mr. Berry is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Organization, the Experimental Aircraft Association, and the Academy of Model Aeronautics.
Jeanne Meade
Sales and Marketing
Jeanne Meade began working in the aerospace industry in 1987. She was named to her current role in 2007 and oversees sales and marketing of Triumph Instruments’ products and services. These activities include developing and executing a marketing plan, managing the field sales team and maintaining an active customer base covering the East region. Prior to joining Triumph, Ms. Meade was the membership & meetings coordinator for the Aviation Suppliers Association, a sales manager for Dac International, and also served in technical and operational roles for various aviation companies.
Ms. Meade is an active member of several professional organizations and has completed undergraduate coursework in communications. She also went through flight training and received a special citation from the FAA for contributing to the first International Aviation Maintenance Conference.
Charlie Riess
Sales and Marketing
Charlie Riess has extensive experience in the aerospace industry. As the company’s business development leader, Mr. Riess is responsible for seeking out new customers and products for Triumph Instruments – Ft. Lauderdale. He has been with the company since 1994 and has held marketing-related jobs during his tenure. Prior to joining Triumph, Mr. Riess was the lead instrument technician for Simmonds Precision. He began his career in 1976 with Barfield Instrument Corp. as an instrument technician and went on to hold numerous positions with increased responsibilities at other aviation-related companies.
Mr. Riess has an associate’s degree in avionics from the Florida Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Fort Lauderdale College. In addition, he holds an FCC radiotelephone operators license.
Cris Woodring
Quality
Cris Woodring has worked in the aerospace industry since 1974. He was named to his current position in 1996 and is responsible for the company’s quality system management. Prior to joining Triumph’s predecessor company, Mr. Woodring was a Quality Manager for Goodrich and was responsible for all aspects of their quality system management.
Mr. Woodring served in the U.S. Navy from 1974-77 as an aviation electronics technician. He also holds a Lead Auditor Certification from the Austin Quality Council.
Dan Bieniek
Operations
Dan Bieniek began working in the aerospace industry in 1991. He has served as the company’s Production Manager since 2009 and is responsible for running and maintaining all shop operations. Prior to his current position, Mr. Bieniek was the Air Transport Program Manager and was responsible for buying and trading air transport items and bringing in service work. Dan has completed professional development courses through Triumph University.
