ACR Industries was founded in 1976 with the merger of three companies; Arjay Tool, Clipper Industries & Renco Precision. Arjay Tool’s efforts were dedicated to the machining of complex aerospace housing and components. Clipper Industries was a premier aerospace supplier for bevel gears. Renco Precision specialized in precision gear manufacturing with expertise in spur and helical gears. This combination of expertise quickly evolved into our core competency - the manufacture, assembly and test of complex gearboxes and components for the aerospace marketplace.
In the year 2000, Triumph Group acquired ACR Industries and the company was renamed to Triumph Gear Systems - Macomb in 2004.
