Stretch Forming : Triumph Fabrications -Shelbyville

Triumph Fabrications - Shelbyville core capabilities involve stretch forming of sheet, extrusion, rolled shape, and light plate metals.
We have the ability to form aluminum alloys, stainless steel, galvanized steel, titanium, bronze metals and mild steel within the limitations of machinery and material properties. We stretch form sheet skins as well as extruded, roll formed, and press brake shapes.
We have the ability to stretch form reverse forms using the bulldozer attachments to our Cyril Bath 400 ton and 750 ton stretch presses. We have 150 and 400 tons of bulldozer capabilities on our 400-ton and 750-ton stretch presses respectively. This process replaces most drop hammer forming operations and provides parts that are more stable and less susceptible to deformation from residual stresses.
Triumph Fabrications - Shelbyville has developed unique stretch forming capabilities to support complex single plane and multi-plane forming of sheet, light plate, extruded, and roll formed shapes made of a variety of metals.
Triumph Fabrications - Shelbyville has sheet stretch presses that range in size from 10 tons to 750 tons. These presses will handle 24" to 160" of sheet width and 24" to 300" of length between grippers. These sheet presses have varying capabilities and multiple axis of simple and compound pressing with bulldozer attachments. Several machines have articulating grippers to facilitate complex die shapes.
We have presses that can handle gripper housings ranging from 4” to 16” in diameter.
We have the ability to bulldoze and to joggle during the stretch forming operations.
