Triumph Fabrications - Shelbyville was founded in 1963 as K-T Corporation. K-T Corporation became an Alco Standard Company in May 1970. The founder of K-T Corporation started the first Aviation unit within Alco Standard. This Aviation unit was known as Alco Aerospace. K-T Corporation was one of the original thirteen companies of Triumph Group when Triumph divested from Alco Standard and became a separate corporation in 1993.
Since its founding, K-T Corporation has provided stretch forming and other processing services to a vast assortment of companies in a variety of industries. Bendix, Airstream, Firestone, Romeo Rim, Alcoa Automotive R & D, Reliance Electric, Pulman Railcar, American Aviation, Mack Truck, General Tire & Rubber, Cessna, Boeing, Gulfstream Aviation, McDonnell Douglas, General Dynamics, Lockheed, Vought, Spirit AeroSystems, Israel Aircraft, Cox & Company, Bombardier (Aerospace and Rail Car Divisions), and Honda are among those served.
