Triumph Controls - UK supplies a variety of inertia type safety harnesses for both the military and commercial aircraft. The primary benefit of the harness is that it allows the user full freedom of movement under normal conditions, but will lock immediately when subject to acceleration of 1.0 G to 1.5 G, preventing any forward movement of the occupant.  Other features include operator control for manual locking, pull down and plug in shoulder straps, plug in lap belts, and quick release buckle.
