History : Triumph Controls - UK
Triumph Controls - UK was formed in 1934 as Mechanical Remote Controls Ltd (MRC) in Redhill, Surrey, UK as a manufacturer of flexible cable controls for Industrial and Military Aircraft applications. MRC relocated to Basildon, Essex, UK in 1956 and became Morse Controls Ltd. Morse became part of the Teleflex group and continued the manufacture and overhaul of cable controls and expanded their capabilities to include the manufacture of aircrew seats, crew restraints, cable tension regulators, and screw jacks. In the intervening years the company was owned by various companies culminating in the re-acquisition by Teleflex in 2001. In 2008, Teleflex divested portions of their Automotive and Aviation concerns to Kongsberg Automotive in Norway. The Aviation segment was acquired by Triumph Group in April 2009 and commenced doing business as Triumph Controls - UK.
