Triumph Composite Systems

History : Triumph Composite Systems

Composite SystemsTriumph Composite Systems facility first opened its doors in 1990 and operated for over 12 years as a Boeing Commercial Airplane facility (Boeing Spokane).  In January of 2003, the facility was sold to Triumph Group.  We have a long history of working closely together with all facets of customer operations, including design, materials and process development, kitting solutions, and the implementation of product improvements.

We are located on a 51-acre site with 394,000 square feet of office and dedicated manufacturing floor space.  The state-of-the-art design and layout provides for efficient and flexible facility utilization.  Modular manufacturing cells are used to facilitate lean manufacturing improvements and just-in-time production processes.

In addition to the vast in-house expertise associated with being one of the world’s leading producers of aircraft floor panels, Triumph Composite Systems is a dependable and reliable source for product testing and evaluation of plastic and composite products.  Over the last 15 years, we have continued to transform our operations by using lean manufacturing methods, implementing new technology, and improving product design.  Triumph Composite Systems' engineering staff is dedicated to making improvements in floor panel production methods, materials evaluation, and supporting technologies.

Triumph Composite Systems has a long standing and reliable relationship with our floor panel component and raw material suppliers.  We have worked closely with these companies to develop, test, and implement a variety of changes in floor panel construction.  The sharing of concepts and resources has resulted in improved floor panel technology.  This experience provides us with the necessary skills and resources to identify, analyze, and incorporate potential technology shifts in floor panel production. In turn, our raw material producers use this knowledge to help them evaluate changes in core materials, pre-preg materials, adhesives, and fastening systems.

Currently, Triumph Composite Systems fabricates approximately 10,000 environmental control system, flight deck and composite interiors assemblies and 9,000 floor panel assemblies each month operating at only 50% capacity.
