Guy LaRosa
President

Guy LaRosa is the President of Triumph Engines – Tempe and Triumph Air Repair. He joined Triumph in 2012 after working for Delta Air Lines for over twenty years, most recently as General Manager of Aircraft Base Maintenance Operations. Mr. LaRosa has been in the aerospace field since 1985, and his background includes leadership positions in several different functional areas including Technical Operations, Engineering and Planning and Supplier Operations. Mr. LaRosa’s broad based industry knowledge, combined with his leadership skills and strong customer relationships is a significant asset to the Triumph Engines – Tempe and Triumph Air Repair Teams.

Mr. LaRosa earned a bachelor’s degree in Technical Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He also served in the United States Air Force from 1985 to 1989 as an Aircraft Machinist, in Bitburg Germany. Mr. LaRosa is a certified project manager and certified six sigma green belt.

Jeff Ryskamp
Finance

Jeff Ryskamp joined Triumph Air Repair in 2009. He has held financial positions in various manufacturing and aerospace companies, most recently as the Senior Director of Finance for Mesa Air Group.

Previously, Mr. Ryskamp was the Global Finance Manager at North American Interconnect, a low-cost manufacturer of telecommunications cable and equipment, and a Senior Finance Manager at Intel Corporation. In addition, he held both operations and finance management positions at American Airlines. Mr. Ryskamp earned his bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MBA from UCLA.

Chuck Ayala
Engineering

Chuck Ayala joined Triumph Engines-Tempe in 1994 as a Repair Development Engineer, responsible for developing major repairs on turbine engine components.

In 2002, Mr. Ayala was promoted to Engineering Manager, and in 2006 he was promoted to Director of Engineering for Sustaining and Production at Triumph Engines-Tempe. In 2009, he transferred to Triumph Air Repair as the Director of Engineering. Mr. Ayala holds a bachelor's degree in engineering and an MBA from Arizona State University.

Rob Summey
Engineering

Rob Summey joined Triumph Air Repair in 2009, bringing with him more than 30 years of APU-specific expertise, which he acquired during his long tenure with Honeywell. Mr. Summey is well known by APU customers for his pioneering work in the field of APU Predictive Health Monitoring as well as his previous work in high-visibility positions as APU Product Support Engineer and APU Technical Instructor.

Mr. Summey is an FAA airframe and powerplant mechanic and holds a degree in professional aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

James Van der Mate
Quality

James Van der Mate has been with Triumph Air Repair since 2006, after relocating to Phoenix from the Seattle area where he had accumulated nearly 30 years of aerospace experience; 26 of which were with AIM Aviation, Inc., a floor-to-floor PMA interiors manufacturer.

Among other positions, Mr. Van der Mate served AIM as the Director of Quality and later as Vice President of Engineering and Quality. He also served as an FAA designee, accepting interior installations on behalf of the FAA, both nationally and overseas. Prior to working for AIM, Mr. Van der Mate was self-employed, assisting companies in transitioning their quality systems to ISO standards.
