James Lee
President
James Lee brings to the company a unique blend of technical expertise acquired from the Spartan School of Aeronautics & Engineering and a successful sales ability acquired while servicing the aircraft community as a manufacturer’s representative for eight years. Merging these skills allowed Mr. Lee to start his own successful manufacturing company, which was purchased in October 1999 by Triumph Group, Inc.
Mr. Lee, a Wichita native, is experienced with all levels of manufacturing aircraft transparencies and sheet metal sub-assemblies. He also is familiar with all levels of operations and support functions (such as engineering, procurement, quality, spare part sales and flight testing) for a variety of aircraft OEMs.
Harry Thurmond
Operations
Harry Thurmond has more than 35 years of experience in the aircraft window industry. He provides valuable administration, marketing, and technical support to the company in his current role with Triumph Aerospace Systems. His background has been in sales, marketing, production, quality and technical support of aircraft windows.
Mr. Thurmond relocated to Wichita from California to join the Triumph team in 1999. He graduated from Moorpark College in California with an associate’s degree in business management.
Don Swanson
Finance
Don Swanson is responsible for financial controls and reports for Triumph Aerospace Systems - Wichita. A Wichita State University graduate, Mr. Swanson has more than 15 years of accounting experience, 12 of which have been in the aircraft industry.
Rick Bloom
Engineering
Rick Bloom is responsible for all technical information related to the production of products created and serviced by Triumph Aerospace Systems - Wichita. He also is responsible for the site’s building complex in Wichita, including construction, maintenance and daily cost analysis.
Mr. Bloom holds a mechanical engineering degree from Kansas State University and has 18 years experience in the aerospace industry in Wichita. This experience includes computer-aided drafting, sheet metal assemblies, composite manufacturing, and transparency manufacturing.
Greg Piland
Operations
Greg Piland is a Wichita native with more than three decades of aviation experience, with tenures at Cessna and Boeing before joining the Lee Aerospace/Triumph team in 1994.
Mr. Piland is responsible for the operation of the company’s FAA/EASA-approved repair station in Wichita, which specializes in aviation transparencies. Mr. Piland is an industry expert in corporate aviation windows, with vast practical experience in window inspections, repairs and installations. He also is an active pilot with 30+ years flying experience.
Glenn Heil
Sales and Marketing
Glenn Heil joined Triumph Aerospace Systems - Wichita in 2003. He is responsible for all aftermarket sales of Triumph Aerospace window products as well as the company’s worldwide distribution network. Mr. Heil brings more than 30 years of aerospace experience in aftermarket sales and service to his position with Triumph. He is a graduate of the Spartan School of Aeronautics with an A&P as well as a former IA and DAR.
Rhonda Evans
Purchasing/Supply Chain
Rhonda Evans is responsible for all aspects of contracts and procurement for transparency, sheet metal and composite manufacturing. Ms. Evans has more than 20 years of experience working in the aerospace industry.
Heather Romero
Quality
Heather Romero is responsible for all aspects of quality management, including AS9100 and NADCAP. Ms. Romero brings five years of quality experience in the aerospace industries to her position at Triumph, and six years of experience from serving in the military.
