Engineering and PMA Support Capabilities : Triumph Accessory Services - Wellington

Triumph Accessory Services - Wellington has a highly skilled and technically oriented workforce of Engineers. Triumph Accessory Services - Wellington, offers a fully integrated range of capabilities, including systems engineering, conceptual engineering, mechanical design and analysis, prototype and limited-rate production, and instrumentation assembly and testing services. As a leading provider of comprehensive and high value engineering solutions, it allows Triumph Group to meet the growing demand for outsourced engineering capabilities and we pride ourselves in delivering exceptional value to our Customers.

In addition to our FAA Accessory Class 1, 2 & 3 certificates, Triumph Accessory Services - Wellington’ aggressively seeks to develop proprietary repairs for worn out parts that go beyond what is required in the manufacturer’s maintenance manuals in order to reduce our costumers’ costs of ownership.  Accordingly, we hold an extensive library of Designated Engineering Representative (DER) repair data.  All parts refurbished by these proprietary processes must be proven through extensive engineering analysis to be as reliable as new parts.  Through the use of these special engineering authorizations, Triumph Accessory Services - Wellington saves our customers substantial costs by repairing many worn parts at a fraction of their new replacement value.

Triumph Accessory Services - Wellington has very comprehensive engineering change control procedures which can be found in our AS9100 manual.  Briefly, these procedures ensure that customer approval is received prior to any work being performed on a part and that the procedures have gone through a design review.  These procedures allow Triumph Accessory Services - Wellington to provide a method for our Technicians and Engineers to submit design improvement suggestions.  In addition:

  • These procedures apply to all part numbers that are submitted for any type of design change/repair.
  • Our Engineers must maintain the latest engineering drawings, including design standards and inspection standards and assure that the part being repaired meets those standards and drawings.
  • Should an engineering change be submitted, the Customer is asked to review the change documentation for compliance with their SOW and provide approval prior to commencement of work being performed on that part.
  • Triumph Accessory Services - Wellington Engineering Team is continually reviewing part numbers for possible improvements.
  • Improvement suggestions are submitted and approved via the VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) form.
  • No parts undergoing an engineering change shall be shipped without first obtaining DER and Customer approval.
  • Improvement ideas can be in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • All engineering/design changes are retained in the Technical Publication Library.
  • Triumph Accessory Services - Wellington will not maintain or alter any item for which it is not rated and will not maintain or alter any article for which it is rated if it requires technical data, equipment, materials, facilities, or trained personnel that are not available.
